Born in the USA in 2000, Arthur Hinnewinkel started to learn the piano in Singapore and then with Anne-Lise Gastaldi at the Paris CRR. He was admitted to the Conservatoire de Paris in Hortense Cartier-Bresson's class. There, he met Itamar Golan, Claire Désert, Maria Belooussova, François Salque, Gary Hoffman and Ivry Gitliss who had a strong influence on Arthur's music paths. The young pianist is passionate about all classical repertoires, from the XVIIth to the XXIth century, but also about jazz and asian traditional musics that he discovered while traveling.

Arthur often performs in festivals but also during recitals. Currently, he is developping his chamber music activities, especially playing in sonata for violin or in piano trio.

In 2023, he won the MODERN TIMES Prize at the Clara Haskil competition for the best performance of the commissionned work to Camille Pépin: « Iridescence-Glace ». He is the winner of the Prix Thierry Schertz at the 2024 edition of Les Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad (Switzerland).
