Ensemble Desmarest , direction : Ronan Khalil

Ensemble Desmaret was a Resident Artist of the Fondation Singer-Polignac from 2013 to 2018.

Founded in 2010 and named for an 18th-century French composer, the early music ensemble Ensemble Desmarest gathers young musicians, singers and performers around the harpsichord player Ronan Khalil. Selected in 2012 to be one of the young ensembles-in-residence at the Ambronay Cultural Meeting Center, then named resident artists at the Singer-Polignac Foundation in Paris in 2013, the ensemble has collaborated with some of the most talented musicians of the new generation, such as Rodrigo Ferreira, Camille Poul, Maïlys de Villoutreys, Dagmar Saskova, Manuel Nunez Camelino, Virgile Ancely and Jeanne Crousaud. They are also members of the P3A artists' network in collaboration with the Bouffes du Nord Theatre in Paris. Since its inception, the Ensemble Desmarest has performed concerts and recitals throughout France (at the Lille Opera House, the Coulommiers Theatre, the Méjan Chapel, Lessay, the Abbey Festival in Deauville, the Midsummer Festival at Chateau Hardelot, the Ambronay Festival, the Villefrance-de-Rouergue theatre, the Young Talents Festival and Saison, the Lez’arts à l’écoute Festival, the Royal Chapel Festival in Versailles, the Festival Les Ephémères, the Pays du Mont-Blanc Baroque Festival, etc.) and abroad (Festival Pavia Barocca, Bucharest Baroque Week, Fringe Oudemuziek in Utrecht, etc.)
